Rematec Amsterdam · 13–15 April 2027 · RAI Amsterdam
See it. Understand it. Automate it.
At Rematec 2027 – the world's leading trade show for remanufacturing – we are organising re.automate: an experience area for robotics and automation in remanufacturing. Instead of isolated products it shows complementary technologies working together on real remanufacturing applications.
The concept
Start with the application, not the component
Many visitors know the operational challenge they want to solve – but not which combination of robotics, vision, sensors, tooling, safety and material flow fits. re.automate therefore shows typical processes as integrated workflows: inspection and identification, handling, disassembly, sorting, internal transport and condition assessment.
- approx. 25 × 20 mopen-access area, freely accessible all day
- up to 10complementary technology providers
- 5–6live demonstrators, ideally combining several partners
- every houra five-minute technology impulse
Illustrative framework – the final layout, exhibitors and demonstrators are being developed jointly with Rematec and the participating partners.
A five-minute impulse every hour
One challenge – one technology – one concrete benefit
At the top of every hour one exhibitor or demonstrator gives a short, application-oriented impulse. It creates curiosity and directs visitors to the matching live demonstrator and exhibitor – an orientation point, not a competing conference stage.
| Minute | Step |
|---|---|
| 0–1 | Challenge |
| 1–3 | Technology |
| 3–4 | Value |
| 4–5 | Call to stand |
Technology fields: industrial robotics · cobots · low-cost robotics · mobile robotics / AMR · machine vision and AI · sensors and condition monitoring · grippers and end-of-arm tooling · process tools · safety technology · planning and simulation · system integration
Who benefits
For visitors
A quick overview of an automation chain in one place, realistic applications instead of brochures, direct access to specialists and a path towards implementation.
For exhibitors
High visibility in a curated, complementary environment, shared demonstrators that make technology tangible, and qualified contacts.
For Rematec
A distinctive automation destination within the show, repeated visitor traffic through live applications and impulses, and a strong anchor for event marketing.
Our role
Technical curator and neutral transfer partner
Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld provides the neutral interface between visitor needs and the technologies on show. At the re.automate Consulting & Academy Point companies can briefly discuss their automation challenge and receive an initial, vendor-neutral orientation:
- Which process is suitable for automation?
- Which type of robotics solution may fit?
- What does that mean for vision, gripping, safety, tooling and material flow?
From there we refer visitors to the relevant demonstrators and experts – and connect the technology experience with training in robotics, automation, safety, machine vision, AI and remanufacturing.
Rematec 2025
Impressions from the last Rematec
At Rematec 2025 in Amsterdam we already showed demonstrators from our labs in the Innovations & Masterclasses area – among them the robot cell for disassembling the electric drive train from the ZirkulEA project and a demonstrator from the Interreg project PAE-e-green. re.automate takes this idea further.
Take part
Exhibitors and partners wanted
We are now selecting technology fields and recruiting a complementary mix of technology providers. The next steps: confirm the framework with Rematec, select exhibitors, develop five to six integrated demonstrators, then detail the impulse format, technical requirements and participation conditions.
